Who is William Tyndale?
Executed at the stake in 1536 for translating and publishing the Bible into the common language, Tyndale arguably did more to bring learning to the unlearned than any other man of his generation. Although TCMS is not a religious school, it derives its name from the heroic efforts and passion of William Tyndale. You can learn more about him here and here.
